Bits and bobs and H&M

I think I need help with my spending haha but nevermind I found a couple of buys around town the other day.

The first picture is a top from Topshop that I sore Beyoncé wearing in a magazine I bought. Its a bit steep at £14 but I really like the aztecz, animal print. I find that alot of aztecz can be quite tacky but I really like this one its quite elegant in a way. I really like it. money well spent!

The next photo is a table cloth I bought from TK MAXX, it was £14.99 which is brilliant for Ralph Lauren and its beautiful. You will no doubt be seeing it in later pictures of it lining the table for a cream tea or some kind of delicious cake picture.

The next few pictures of clothes are from H&M. The purple net jumper drapes quite low at the back wich is really pretty, nice to wear with a black bikini top.
The wu tang tee is really nice it goes to mid thigh and is really comfy. I dont normally like band tee's from high street sellers but I do really like them and the tee is really nice. Also can be nice worn as a dress.
The stripy long v neck shirt with the jag face on it is also mid thigh length. you may look like you have just reffed a foodtball match but I really like it paired with some leggings or shorts. the rings were around £3 and the hat also £3.

Also I painted my nails polka dot! its easy to do just choose a base colour and a dot colour and after the base coat is fully dried and just dot the polka dots evenly spaced around the nail and preferably would look better with two coats. finish off with a clear top coat!

Roasted butternut squash with sautéed veg and couscous

Dinner time! My favourite time of day! Today is...
Roasted butternut squash with sautéed veg and couscous.
For about 2/3 portions:

1 small butternut squash cut into 50p sized chunks
1 small courgette also cut into 50p sized chunks
1 bell pepper (colour of your choice) cut into small strips
Half an onion  cut into small strips
1 garlic clove finely diced
(I didnt use one today seen as I'm going out and it still tasted nice)
Olives
Halloumi cut in to medium squares
125g Couscous
Hot chilli powder
Cayanne pepper
Salt
Pepper
2tbsp Olive oil
Balsamic vinegar.
Boiling water
You can use as much or as little as you like of anything, as with all cooking just make it to suit your palette or just what you have in your house, but this is how I like it...
1.
Turn the oven on to 200°C and put the kettle on :).
Place the diced squash on a baking tray and drizzle with a tbsp of oil, sprinkle with some cayenne, chilli powder and salt and pepper put in the oven for about 20 minutes. or until browned on the outside and tender on the inside.
2.
Whilst the butternut is in the oven, cut up the rest of the veg. Put the couscous into a bowl and pour the water over it (or follow the instructions on the packet you have) and add some salt and pepper and cover with a plate until it is all soaked up and then fluff it up with a fork.
3.
Heat a tbsp of olive oil in a pan, add the onion and the garlic shortly after. Sauté for 3 mins and add the rest of the veg. Cook for around 4 minutes dash about 2 teaspoons of the balsamic in the pan and cook for around 1 more minute. Add the halloumi and cook until brown then its ready!
4.
Add and toss everything together and dish out. Add a dollop of hummus and sprinkle over some balsamic vingar (try and get some of the thicker kind for dressing its much tastier).
THEN EAT.
It might look like a lot to do but it really isn't, 20 mins tops!!
I also tried this red Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon the other day because it was on offer in Tesco and still is I think. It's delicious, one of my favourites now! and in my opinion it goes really well with this dinner! So if you're fancying a nice drink then go for this it's fantastic with food or without.
Happy eating and drinking!!

College

I've been a busy bee recently, Unfortunately I recently received a letter from the Sheffield college informing me that not enough people applied for the course i was going on, so they told me i can no longer do it! As you can imagine i was very upset and pretty angry.

So after looking into many other courses I have decided to do a few little separate courses and teach myself the rest! I'm up for a lot of reading but this has made me more determined to get to where I want to be now. I was so looking forward to starting in September but there is no point in looking back. So here's to the future and making my own way there!

London!!

It's London time for me again, I may as well live down there these days! But this time is different, like a mini weekend holiday with a couple of friends, two of which hadn't been before. So the plan was, be a tourist and sight see in this beautiful city all weekend and possibly (most certainty) do a tour of pubs and their beer gardens!

We took them to oxford street, Buckingham palace, St James' park, Covent garden and Westminster and still no matter how many times I see it at night it doesn't ever get old, if anything it gets even more beautiful each time I see it. it was nice being a tourist again, you seem to forget about your surroundings when you get used to somewhere. It was no different for my friends and they seemed to love every minute of it too! YEY! two new London converts!

Of course I did a little shopping. I bought a couple of things, a few of which where two tops at only £5 each from Primark. the other purchases included ... well ... mainly food and alcohol, copious amounts for that matter, but its a mini holiday so who cares about a little bit of sinning!!

Mondays mini shop...

I left work a little bit early yesterday to pick up some contact lenses. And before I know it I was in shops that wernt specsavers :s.

It wasnt a big money splerge. Just a couple of things. Along with my contact lenses I got this cute little box to decorate only £1.49 a sweet little floral note book for college or just those times when you need paper 99p and this allotment book which was £5.99, all from The Works.  I havent got an allotment but do have a patch in my back garden that is a mini one. Hehe!!

I have read some of the allotment book and its pretty good! Everything is explained to you in plain english and really easy to read and non-confusing I think I may have some home grown salads and some fresh veg for tea soon!

My mum got me a subscription to cross stitcher and its one the best presents ever. I love this magazine in my opinion I feel like its the best cross stitch magazine on sale! All the designs are up to date and in fashion and I love cross stitching the designs they come up with like the little racoon in the picture below, free with this months edition!!

I got two bunches of beautiful flowers, both only £3 each from lidl!

Also when I got home I had a cream tea waiting for me that my sister had made my mum and I! It was delicious and she used the napkins I bought from John Lewis, they were £4 (I know quite steep, but they are beautiful!).
