Time for something tasty!

I love middle eastern food. And falafels I think are my favorate. They are low fat, filling, and just delicious either on their own or in a pitta. I have a quick and easy recipe that will litterally take you 15 minutes!!
All you'll need is:
a tin of chickpeas
Corriander
Cumin
Salt (quite a bit)
Pepper
(Optional) Chilli flakes or powder or a fresh chilli or all three if u want them really spicy.
Parsley
1 garlic clove
1 egg

Thats the main recipe you can use as much or as little as you want of anything apart from the egg and chickpeas. I sometimes add flaxseed and/or sesame seeds.

• I put everything apart from the egg into a blender (before i had a blender i would just use a potato masher) and whizz it up until everything is mashed up then add the egg to bind and stick it all together.

• Roll into balls or small burger like shapes (sometimes i like to roll them in sesame seeds) and shallow fry for a couple of minutes each side until nice and brown on each side.
You can also do them in the oven or grill turning halfway through until brown if you dont want to fry them. Thats it!!

I either have mine in a salad or in a pitta with hummus, olives, warmed halloumi, sald leaves and tzatsiki. So tasty!!
I only have a picture of the making of it. I couldnt wait to eat them so I totally forgot to take a picture!

Let me know if you try it!

Enjoy cooking!

It starts today!

I've been a bit busy lately and I have been trying to eat healthy. For work, I've just been grabbing a tin of soup and some fruit for my dinner but today I start everything new! (Lets not count the vanilla and chocolate buns my sister made yesterday, two of which I ate today :/) I made myself a nice little dinner of warm pitta bread with tomatoes, cucumber, red pepper, hummus and a bit of hot chilli powder and seasoning, also a nice hot honey and lemon. I'm off to town to see if there is anything nice in the topshop sales (not good news for my bank) and when I get back I'll be making some breakfast muffins I'm thinking banana and date mmmmmm. I'll put my recipe up after :) have a nice day!
